SPRING REGISTRATION

MTSA Registration Process

MTSA offers two programs – a Recreational (Rec) one for players as young as 4 years old and a Travel program for players as young as 7 years old prior to August 1st. Age levels in soccer are defined as “under the age of” or “U” as of August 1st of any given year. Thus a “U5” player would be under the age of five as of August 1st and a U8 player would be under the age of 8 as of August 1st as of any given year. A player remains in that “U” age group for the whole year thru July 31st of the next year. Thus a U8 player who has a birthday in August and turns eight years old still remains in the U8 category until August 1st of the next year. Under this classification most players are with teammates in the same school grade. However players with birthdays in August and September are eligible to play with teammates in the next grade lower though most choose to play a “U” age up with their classmates from school.

The Rec program is available for players U4-U8 – there is no Rec program for players older than U8. In the Rec program players are assigned to teams, uniforms are provided, and weekly games are played against other Rec teams. The Travel program is available for players from U8 – U19. Players are assigned to teams based on ability – the Travel teams play primarily in two leagues, the South Jersey Soccer League (boys) and the South Jersey Girls Soccer League (girls). Games are played against teams from various towns and soccer clubs across south and central jersey. Travel players purchase their uniforms separate from the registration fee and process – the uniforms can be used year after year as long as the uniform fits.

Registration fees are determined annually based on the anticipated costs to MTSA (field and equipment maintenance, training, referee costs, league costs, etc.). The Rec program costs are lower mainly due to the difference in referee fees between the two programs. Registration of players is done on-line using the “GotSoccer.Com” system with payments made by either a credit\debit card or use of an “electronic check” which bills your checking account. Cash is not accepted – and payment must be made at the time of registration or the registration will not be completed and the player will not be assigned to a team. MTSA has a Refund policy and a Financial Hardship policy – please refer to the MTSA web page covering these policies and processes. If a Financial Hardship request is granted a voucher number will be provided to be used to make payment for registration.

Please select the appropriate registration program from below which will take you to the on-line registration process. As part of this process you will create or use an existing “player” account with a log on name and user password for each player registered. Additionally families with multiple players should create, or should already have, a family account which has a separate log on name and user password. MTSA offers family discounts if you have multiple players in the SAME program (discounts are not offered for multiple players in different programs). In order to get these discounts you need to have a family account. If you are unsure whether you have an existing account, or if you have lost your user name and password, please email us at MTSA.soccer@gmail.com and we will forward your user name and password if you do have an existing player or family account.
