MTSA recognizes that families may have difficulty
paying the expenses associated with participation
in MTSA programs and therefore has a process to provide
financial support for players to participate in MTSA
programs. Requests for financial support to participate
in MTSA programs must be emailed to MTSA.soccer@gmail.com
– the MTSA board president along with the vice-president
in charge of the appropriate age group or boys/girls
travel will review such requests and make determinations.
Valid reasons for such requests would include loss
of job, health issues and associated costs, size of
family and other reasons. For Travel program financial
hardships requests please indicate whether the uniform
cost is being requested as well (the cost of the uniform
is $70). If a request is approved then a voucher number
will be issued to the family to use to register their
player(s) – if the request includes the uniform
cost MTSA will pay these costs directly to the sports
outlet where the uniforms are purchased from.
Refund Policy
MTSA will provide refunds of registration costs under
certain conditions. The association bears a cost for
each registration submitted into the on-line system
– and association members expend time processing
refund requests which include removing players from
assigned teams and re-working rosters. For Travel
team players in many cases MTSA has conducted ability
ratings at an expense to MTSA. Additionally players
leaving teams right before or during the playing season
disrupt the whole team and cause additional paperwork
such as processing release forms for Travel players.
Therefore MTSA has the following Refund Policy:
- For Rec program registrations, if a player cannot
be placed on a team a total refund will be issued.
- For Travel registrations,
if a player cannot be placed on a team the refund
will incur a $10 processing fee. If a Travel player
has been offered a position on a team and then requests
a refund, a $25 fee will be incurred to cover the
cost of ability ratings and/or to discourage players
from registering without a real intent to play.
- For Travel players, refunds
requested after July 1st (Jan. 15th for Spring registration)
will incur a 50% processing fee.
- For Travel players, no refunds
made after August 1st (Feb 1st for Spring registration)
as rosters have to be finalized and team paperwork
submitted in August.
- Requests for full refunds can
be made under a Financial Hardship situation or
other unusual circumstances such as a season ending
injury/illness by sending an email to MTSA.soccer@gmail.com.
